A Different Kind of Insurance Agent

I'm Emily Keeton — an independent insurance agent based in Middleton, Florida, and the founder of Keeton Benefits Agency. Before putting down roots in Sumter County, I spent years serving clients in the Tampa Bay area, where I built my career inside agencies that believed relationships mattered.

I hold the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation and am a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) — credentials that reflect years of deep focus on employee benefits, HR strategy, and the real-life decisions that come with both.

I started this agency because I believe insurance should be done differently. Early in my career I worked alongside someone who did it right — he knew his clients by name, listened before he spoke, and put their needs before his commission. He did life with his clients. When he passed in 2021, I realized just how rare that approach had become. Too often, insurance feels rushed and transactional. That never sat right with me.

So I built something better. At Keeton Benefits Agency, my only responsibility is to you — not to a carrier, not to a quota, not to a corporate playbook. I'll listen first, explain things clearly, and stay in your corner long after enrollment.
